Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of the Fit for Love app and website. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Fit for Love.

Using Fit for Love

You need an account to use the app. Keep your password to yourself and let us know at vlad@fitforlove.app if you think someone else has access to your account. You are responsible for what happens under it.

You must be old enough to consent to the processing of personal data where you live. One account per person.

Not medical advice

Fit for Love helps you record exercise and stay accountable to your partner. It is not a medical service and nothing in it is medical advice. Exercise carries risk. You are responsible for deciding what is safe for you, and you should talk to a qualified professional before starting or changing a routine, particularly if you have an existing condition or are recovering from injury. You take part in any activity you log at your own risk.

How the app works

Each partner sets their own weekly goal. You log a workout with a photo, and it counts only once your partner approves it. Your partner may also grant a single workout double credit when they approve it. Approved workouts add to a balance the two of you share, and that balance pays for rewards you defined together. Claims alternate, so neither of you can claim twice in a row.

Rewards are promises between the two of you. They exist inside the app for motivation, have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money, and we take no part in whether a reward is honoured. Balances, claims and rewards may be adjusted or reset if they were recorded in error or obtained by manipulating the app.

Partners and content

Fit for Love is built around a partnership between two people. When you pair with someone, they can see your workouts, your proof photos, your progress and the places attached to your workouts, as described in our Privacy Policy. Only pair with someone you are comfortable sharing that with.

You keep ownership of what you create: your workouts, photos, descriptions and the rewards you write. You grant us only the permission needed to store it and show it to the partner you have chosen.

Photos you both contribute build a shared record, and some of it survives one of you leaving: see the Privacy Policy for exactly what is kept and for how long.

You agree not to use Fit for Love to:

Harass, threaten, bully or abuse anyone
Send sexual content, or any content involving minors
Share content you do not have the right to share, or that depicts someone who has not consented
Impersonate another person
Submit workouts you did not do, or manipulate approvals, balances or rewards
Attempt to break, overload, reverse engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service
Collect other users' data by automated means

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.

Availability

We work to keep Fit for Love running, but we do not guarantee it will always be available or error-free. We may change or discontinue features. The service is provided "as is", without warranties, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data or profits.

Ending your account

You can end your partnership at any time in the app, and delete your account from Profile → Delete account. What happens to your data, including the 7-day window in which your partner can still save the photos you shared, is set out in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Fit for Love after that means you accept the updated terms.
