Fit for Love: a workout app for couples

An illustrated map of a town, its river, its coast and the trails around it, with the places this couple train and the memories they earned there pinned on it.
fit for love how it works

Log a workout with a photo. Your partner approves it. Claim the reward.

One week, the whole way round.

Sarah and Tom. Five steps, and then it starts again at the top.

  1. 1 Sarah

You train, and you photograph it.

There is nothing to type in. You take one photo while you are still out of breath, and that photo is the workout.

For example Tuesday, 6:40am. Sarah runs the hill loop and takes a photo at the top before she walks home.

    6 → 7 weeks

  2. 2 Tom

They look at it, and decide what it was worth.

Your partner sees the photo and the place it was taken. They are the one who says it counts, and if it was a brutal one, they can count it double.

For example Tom sees the hill in the photo and the pin on the map. It was the long way up, so he counts it double: two workouts, not one.

Tom says yes, and doubles it

    What it was worth

    ×2 workouts

One workout, counted twice, because he decided it was that hard.

  3. 3 Sarah

You spend it on something they owe you.

Everything the two of you earn goes into one pot. You claim from the rewards you wrote together, and claims take turns, so neither of you can take twice in a row.

For example Sarah had one left over from last week. With Tom’s two that makes three, which is exactly what a picnic costs.

    Your pot

    1+2=3

One left over, two from Tuesday.

  4. 4 Tom

They actually do it, and that gets photographed too.

A reward is not finished by ticking a box. It has to happen, one of you takes a picture of it happening, and that picture is what closes it.

For example Saturday. Tom makes the picnic and carries it up. Sarah photographs the blanket and the flask, and the reward is done.

Spent, and spent on something that actually happened.

  5. 5 Both of you

Both of them go on your page, and stay there.

The workout and the picnic land together, with the day and the place. Nothing is cleared at the end of the month. This is the one part of it that gets better purely by carrying on, and then it starts again at one.

For example By December: 61 workouts between them, 19 rewards actually given, and a page they open on purpose.

what she did  ·  what he gave

And then it starts again at one.

A week only counts if you both make it.

Your goal and theirs, in your own weeks. Miss it and the week is gone for both of you, which is the whole reason it holds.

both of you hit your goal  ·  one of you did not

7 weeks running

An example streak. There is no real history yet. Nobody has used this.

Nineteen places to start.

A shelf of ideas, not a rulebook. Open one to see what is inside.

The part that gets better on its own.

Every approved workout keeps its photograph. Every reward you actually gave keeps one too. Nothing else here grows while you look at it.

and then this

Placeholder photographs. The real ones belong to the couple who took them, and this page will never show a stranger’s.

It only works if you both show up.

One person with it has nothing. Two have something owed, a photograph of every week, and a year worth keeping.

Fit for Love is not out yet. There is nothing to download, no trial, and no launch date we are willing to promise. Leave an address and we will write once, when it is real.
